Any Opponauts own a Juke? Or work for a Nissan dealer and have any experience with them?
I keep looking at these underhood shots on ads and one thing keeps grabbing my attention.
This bit in front of the battery looks like it's duct taped together and it's on all the Jukes I've looked at so far. Anyone know what this is?

I love the juke and almost bought one, but alas I haven't a clue what that thing is :/

Wiring harness is what it looks like. Just tapped up to keep them together/keep them cleanish.

Just a big chunk of the wiring harness is what it looks like after some investigation

My wife is the one interested and I'm happy with the choice even though she won't drive a stick. It's the closest we can come to meeting in the middle. She wants a Suburban and I want a FiST.

Yeah I figured it was something like that. It just looks kinda dodgey for something that is from the factory.

hahah yeah this is a good compromise then! for extra FiSTfulness, go with a nismo. AWD+CVT+198hp makes for one mean little CUV

I like the Nismo and Nismo RS ones but I don't think they justify the price, especially when I can get a used awd model with less than 50k miles for under 15k. A chip, coilovers, an exhaust, and tires and I'd probably still come out ahead both in performance and price. Then again this would be the wife's car so I'd probably just save a ton of cash and not care about performance.

yeah. or get a new nismo! you get a warranty, AWD, that really cool body kit, those sweet wheels, and the pleasure of owning something unique for just 24K

I'm talking about saving 10k for a car with less than 50k miles that makes within 10 hp of the Nismo. If I really need a warranty I can get one separately plus all the extras and still come out ahead. Honestly I don't think the Nismo is even worth the cost compared to a brand new Juke. It's 10 hp bump which could easily be accomplished with nothing more than a tune and everything else is tires and suspension and if I really get into performance driving I'd buy better rubber and suspension than what they probably include with the Nismo.
